Erika Erkel
Community & Fundraising Events Manager
With more than 20 years of experience in event production and client engagement, Erika brings a unique blend of creativity, compassion, and connection to her role as Community & Fundraising Events Manager at the Hyperformance Foundation. Erika specializes in turning meaningful moments into unforgettable experiences that unite communities—especially those rooted in service.
At HPF, Erika’s focus is twofold: first, to build vibrant, localized support networks by introducing veterans, first responders, and families of the fallen to movement-based activities like golf, hiking, paddling, and riding; and second, to cultivate sustainable partnerships and fundraising events that ensure those connections continue long after the event ends.
Her background spans two decades of creating dynamic, community-first events through her production company, ECE Productions. Whether it’s a grassroots gathering or a high-impact fundraiser, Erika’s passion lies in bringing people together through authentic, purpose-driven experiences.
A proud graduate of California State University, Chico, with a B.S. in Business Marketing, Erika also holds a Project Management Certification from the University of Arizona—giving her the strategic edge to turn big ideas into actionable impact.
Although she’s been known to jokingly say, “Did I do that?” Erika is, in fact, not related to Steve Urkel—or Stefan Urquelle. But she does believe in always showing up with heart, humor, and hustle.
She’s most proud of the relationships she’s built and the healing she’s witnessed when people feel truly seen. Erika is motivated by the belief that everyone deserves to be valued and reminded that they matter. Her personal mantra? “Be curious, not judgmental.” (Thanks, Ted Lasso… and Walt Whitman.)
A lifelong adventurer and dog mom to two Frenchies and one feisty orange tabby, Erika loves reading, being outdoors, and embracing whatever wild, wonderful place her next event—or life—takes her.
