With a foundation in occupational therapy and a passion for functional recovery, Dr. Stewart brings a participant-focused approach to Hyperformance—shaping clinical best practices, and supporting the growth of our Veteran and First Responder Programs.

Serving as the Clinical Research Design and Manager for Hyperformance Foundation, she serves as head researcher in veteran participation in outdoor recreation to ease the transition from service member to civilian. She is the newest member of the Hyperformance team, joining in 2025.

Ireland has her doctoral degree in occupational therapy and bachelor degree in human performance and fitness. Along with those, Ireland also has her Certified Adaptive recreation and Sports Specialist Certification and Adaptive & Inclusive trainer certification. During her schooling Ireland completed a fifteen week rotation researching the benefits of outdoor recreation on perceived quality of life and satisfaction in the veteran and their families. She comes from a military and first responder family, which drew her into the world and through experience and research she has developed a deeper understanding and commitment to provide to those who have served.

Ireland lives in western Illinois where she owns several goats who keep her busy in her free time, plays sand volleyball for several teams, and also bonds with her two nieces, Graylin and Sadie.
