Kim Seevers
Elite Performance Manager
As Elite Performance Manager at Hyperformance, Kim is passionate about unlocking potential and guiding athletes of all abilities to their peak performance. With over 30 years in sports and recreation—including 28 years in the winter sports industry—Kim specializes in athlete development for individuals with physical disabilities, from first-timers to Paralympic hopefuls.
Kim holds an MS in Performance Assessment from Penn State and a BS in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Slippery Rock University—at both universities she gathered the best from her coaches and mentors to shape a coaching philosophy rooted in resilience, integrity, and purpose.
One of the most challenging experiences of her career was serving as the sighted guide for an alpine ski racer, the pair went on to compete in the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi Russia. Working so closely with an athlete to build the trust and communication required to ski in sync at high speed through a race course on skis was the highlight of Kim’s working life and an unexpected opportunity at that stage of her career. It remains one of the great honors of her life.
In late 2014, Kim managed the first bobsled and skeleton development camp for athletes with disabilities in Lake Placid, NY. Nine years later, that initiative has grown into the world’s premier grassroots program for developing elite para bobsled and skeleton athletes.
In 2024, Kim made a short-lived attempt at retirement—but was quickly drawn back into the working world when the founder of Hyperformance offered an irresistible opportunity: to create new programming and a performance pipeline that helps military members and first responders progress from novice athletes to competitors on Team US at the Warrior Games, Invictus Games, Paralympic Games, and beyond.
Now, as part of the Hyperformance team, Kim is energized by the chance to work with new athletes and continue building with those already on the journey—helping them push boundaries, pursue excellence, and meet their performance goals. As Michael Jordan once said, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” Helping athletes find their way past their disabilities and into their fullest potential is a mindset Kim strives to pass on to every athlete with whom she works..
After decades immersed in the cold, ice, and snow of the Northeast, Kim relocated to sunny Largo, Florida, in 2022. When she’s not working with Hyperformance athletes, Kim will likely be found on the golf course or relaxing at the beach with a good book in hand.
