Founder & Executive Director
“AND MILES TO GO BEFORE I SLEEP.”
- Robert Frost
Steve has been actively involved in sports, recreation, and training alongside the military and first-responder communities for nearly 20 years. His work with the military and first-responder communities began in the early 2000’s when he got to work alongside various units training under Tony Blauer’s SPEAR System. Steve’s career in adaptive sports began as a volunteer ski instructor with a program in the Catskill Mountain of New York in 2009. He went onto serve as the program’s Program Supervisor, starting in 2011, before taking a job as the executive director of an adaptive training facility serving veterans and first-responders.
Following his time as executive director of the training facility Steve became a partner at a large luxury residential construction company in Beverly Hills - managing construction and a portfolio of properties valued in the hundreds of millions. During this time Steve was actively engaged in volunteering with various organizations - most notably the Gary Sinise Foundation.
In late 2022 Steve began developing the Gary Sinise Foundation’s Sports and Recreation Program. Over the coming years this program would continue to grow into what is now Hyperformance Foundation. Hyperformance Foundation is proud to continue to partner with the Gary Sinise Foundation to provide all of GSF’s Sports and Recreation Programs. In addition to GSF Programming - Hyperformance has continued to be a leader in the space. Most recently in early 2025 Hyperformance and GSF worked alongside the Department of Defense to provide the first ever Invictus Team US Training Camp in advance of the inaugural Winter Invictus Games. Hyperformance staff and volunteers supplemented the coaching staff of Invictus Team US and worked hand-in-hand throughout the games in Vancouver to provide the best level of training, coaching, and access to equipment for our injured, ill, and wounded service members competing in the games.
Steve has lived throughout the country - originally from Upstate New York - he now resides outside Nashville with his wife Hannah and two dogs.
